It has been a long journey, both satisfying and gratifying, that has brought me here.

My name is Joanne Miranda. I am the mom of two fantastic boys, ages 11 and 7 and wife to the most supportive and loving husband for 14 years. If not for him, Joanne Miranda Designs would not be.

My love of "everything bridal" started back in the late 80’s. It seemed like all of my friends were getting married. I was, as they say, “always a bridesmaid but never a bride” (until 1994!). If you’ve seen the movie 27 Dresses, you know what my closet looked like.

I always helped my friends with the details, either designing headpieces, helping pick out the décor for the wedding and even throwing a really great bridal shower or two. Around that time, I had a good friend who worked in a small bridal shop in Hicksville, NY. She asked if I would help her out and I really got the bug for helping brides.

Jumping ahead to 2000, I was fortunate to get back into the bridal business again, this time after a very long layoff. I worked at Camille LaVie in bridal sales and later on at David’s Bridal. During that time, I met lots of great people who worked in the wedding industry. With some pushing and lots of requests from brides for me to design bridal accessories to match their dream dress, Joanne Miranda Designs was born.

I’ve always had a passion for making jewelry, which I both sold and gave away as gifts. Joanne Miranda Designs allows me to combine these two passions, and now, I am bringing it all to you.

My dream is and always will be to add the finishing touch to a beautiful bridal gown, dress or just a fun outfit. I hope you will give me the opportunity to do that for you.
